Building sustainability into the Agri-food value chains : Future Food Together

On the 23rd of November 2022, WWF Thailand in collaboration with the Agricultural and Food Marketing Association for Asia and the Pacific (AFMA) organised a side event at the 16th Asia Pacific Roundtable on Sustainable Consumption and Production (APRSCP) at Pathumwan Princess Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.

Titled Building sustainability into the Agri-food value chains : Future Food Together, the side event aimed at bringing together practitioners to discuss on opportunities and business approaches for building sustainability into the Agri-food value chains.
Organised as a hybrid event, participants many participants joined the session both in person and through online channels.

The session had expert speakers representing private, public, and not for profit organisations providing insightful presentations in various topics related to the Agri-food value chains. The experts in attendance were.

The event was separated into three sessions
Trend, gaps and opportunity where the results of Market Research and Social Listening: Eco-awakening- Gaps and Opportunities, and prioritized sustainability topics for sustainable Agri-food value chains where discussed in detail by representatives from INTAGE (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Wisesight (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
Business model for sustainable agri-food value chains – where representatives from TOF discussed the FLR349 SE business model and a representative from TDRI discussed FLR349 project’s social return on investment (SROI)
Digital tools for low-carbon business operations where different digital tools and platform related to Agri-food value chain were discussed in detail. This included an active carbon credit platform, a digital platform to support forest landscape restoration, agroecological, food system transformation, and Yindii a food surplus platform connecting consumers to vendors.Watch the full even recording
